The Ableton 12 course is fantastic! I had already done some Udemy courses which seemed longer & are very detailed like an instruction manual, which was a great introduction and really handy to dip back into for reminders, but I’ve learned so much more from doing the Subsine course & it’s helped me finish (almost!) a one hour set that I’ve recorded. Simon really adds a human element to the learning alongside the practical stuff, the learning process feels more organic and puts you in touch with your senses which is such an important part of creating music. He somehow manages to simplify a lot of the practical stuff and has made the workflow much clearer, everything just clicked much easier as it’s very engaging. Thank you Simon!

I recently completed the ten week beginners course for Ableton Live and learnt so much! Simon is such a good teacher and has built the perfect course covering all bases. We covered so much in such a short space of time. We also are able to watch the videos from the online course for reference. From the beginning of the course to the end we learnt how to make a track from scratch learning loads of important and fun details on the software! Simon is super knowledgable and able to answer any specific questions along the way.

Absolute first class institution of learning, populated with knowledgeable, inspiring teachers and super nice people to boot. Seriously, have spent over 20 years flirting with music production and never got very far, whereas in less that 6 months I finally feel like I'm making proper progress. Have done the Creator course and now onto the Mixdown course and couldn't recommend Simon, Rob and the team enough.

Learning Ableton at Subsine is a fantastic experience. Simon is a natural teacher, really engaging and deeply knowledgable, his classes are friendly and the pace and progression is perfect. If you have any inkling about wanting to create music, Subsine is the place to go. The whole class learned a plethora of new skills every week and grew in confidence and ability so quickly. Forget wading through disconnected, decontextualised YouTube videos; get down to Subsine and you’ll be amazed at the skills and knowledge you walk away with after ten weeks. Transformative.

I recently completed the Creators course at SubSine Academy, taught by Simon Stokes, and it was an incredible experience. As someone who is new to music production, I found the course to be both comprehensive and accessible. The course is meticulously structured, covering everything from the basics of Ableton Live ,Simon Stokes being Scotland’s only Ableton Certified Trainer, brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insights that are invaluable. The lessons are well-paced, ensuring that each concept is thoroughly understood before moving on to the next.
