I have almost completed my first project with Paul, firstly at Broadwater studios and then at Salt Recording studios. The whole project has been joyous from the beginning to the end where my tracks have been brought to life by Paul, who has in my experience, an innate understanding of the sounds and styles you are trying to achieve with your songs. The technical aspects such as music production, engineering, mixing, and mastering have also been second to none. The new studio at Salt Recordings is excellent. It is comfortable, welcoming with a homely feel which makes the studio a great place to be creative and to record music, the equipment and instruments are also top notch too. Salt Recordings in my opinion, is the only place to be for artists and musicians wishing to bring their projects to life and I really can not recommend Paul and the studio enough. I am looking forward to recording at Salt again very soon on my next project. Thanks Paul and everyone at Salt Recordings.

I can’t recommend this studio enough! From the wonderful people that work there who are kind, friendly and exceptionally talented to the cosy atmosphere that they have created! If you have any worries when recording then this studio will take them away, everyone at Salt makes you feel comfortable and welcome and they care most about what’s important to you! They will help bring your vision to life and make sure that what you create is exactly how you imagined it! I’ve recorded my debut EP here and from the moment i started recording all the way to the final track, everyone at Salt made sure that this was the an experience I will never forget! The tracks exceed expectations and I have found a studio that feels like a little part of home! :)

Have visited Paul on a number of occasions at Salt for recording sessions and his knowledge and expertise is second to none and this has helped my daughters recordings and confidence to get better on each visit. Highly recommend and will continue to use on a regular basis,also looking to use Paul/Salt for song writing lessons in the very near future. Facilities are first class and very competitive cost.

I recently recorded my new solo EP at Salt with Paul, and from our first meeting, Paul immediately grasped my vision for the project. The final tracks have far exceeded my expectations. Recording at Salt has also significantly boosted my confidence as a musician and songwriter. Paul takes a holistic approach to each project, asking about everything from my influences to artwork, visual concepts, and promotion. This allowed us to shape every detail of the record from start to finish. Throughout the sessions, Paul encouraged me to play as many of the parts as I could myself. While there’s always the option to use session musicians, and Paul is an accomplished musician who can play many instruments, I really appreciated how he helped me tap into my own potential. It made me feel more in control of the project, which was important to me as I write solo for the first time in many years. Recording at Salt was an incredibly fun experience, and I can’t wait to return. I highly recommend these guys to anyone!

I first visited Salt Recording Studios in 2024 to record music for my third album. The wonderful Paul Worthington and I have worked together on two previous albums and every recording session has been an absolute pleasure. Paul’s knowledge and input have been invaluable and the results have been astonishing! Paul and I have become firm friends too. Salt Recording Studio is a jewel in the North East of England and I would heartily recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to record.

We had 6 tracks for an EP that wern't working out with another mixer after 4 or 5 revisions. Sent them to Paul at Salt recording and even the rough mixes were stunning. Fast turnaround, really great communication and some great little extras added into production. Couldn't recommend higher.
