Great rehearsal space

I'll explain the two star rating shortly. The rooms are all equipped to a decent standard and are heated / air conditioned, which makes a pleasant change compared with some venues around the UK. All of the provided gear is of decent quality and fully functional. The facilities at the venue are very good, even providing tea and coffee, plus a snack machine if you feel that way inclined. I can't fault the rooms , the facilities , or the booking process. However...... These rehearsal rooms are very inaccessible. If any person has a disability or an injury they will seriously struggle to get into the rehearsal space. There is no lift or accessible entrance anywhere. A single external metal staircase going up 20 ft appears to be all that's provided. That is the main way in and out, and frankly in the 21st century that is a serious no-no. You will have to lug your gear up said narrow staircase in all weathers. An anti-slip surface and handrail provided is insufficient considering the weight of electronic gear. Put simply, any health and safety officer would find many issues with access and egress from the premises. If you are nursing a limb injury of any type, bad back, hernia, or amputee, then you are properly screwed as far as safe access in this place goes. For this reason I have only given a two-star review. The facilities are great ; it's just getting to them ! There really should be something written on the website about how inaccessible this place is ! So, in conclusion, great facilities and rehersal rooms...... Yet getting upstairs into the building is ridiculous. I've been in Victorian warehouses with better accessibility than this place !
