Old City Studio

Was a pleasure to record here. Place oozed vibes with the antique aesthetics and warm lighting. Has an amazing inventory of instruments and mics which I thoroughly enjoyed the vintage synth collection! Based more in electronic productions, it was very convenient to be able to get up and running with an Ableton Live project on their studio rig. All n all everything was quick and easy to get setup and recording. Will be looking forward to my next visit!

This is a really great space to record. Lots of really interesting, rare vintage gear. Whether you need analogue synths/keys, loud vintage guitar amps or super expensive sounding drum dracking - Old City Studios is a really versatile spot. I've been tracking drums and mixing with head engineer 'Silas' and he's an absolute dream to work with. Get on down!

Great studio, I mainly use this space as a place to create and mix down electronic projects. As a producer, I'm able to plug my own laptop into the mixing board which is important to me, giving me acess to record from the desk and use the treated room to mix down with the superb selection of monitors. Alternatively they have a brand new studio computer at the ready. Great vibe too

Old City Studios is an amazing place to record in Bristol. Silas, who is the in house engineer, is a wizard. His knowledge, talent, musicality, creativity and vintage music gear will get you incredible results quickly. The team who run the studio are all top people, affiliated with Mr Wolfs. The music we brought in was elevated and improved in every way. Highly recommend this studio to any musicians in Bristol or passing through.

We had a wonderful experience using Old City Studios. We needed a space to film a scene for our student short film, and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. They were incredibly kind, flexible, and responsive, always replying to emails quickly and clearly. When we arrived, we were shown around the space and given all the information we needed, including how to access everything. After that, we had complete freedom to work, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. We also really appreciated the flexibility at the end of our booking. As no one was scheduled after us, we were able to take a bit of extra time to pack down our equipment without feeling rushed, which made a big difference. Although we didn’t use the studio for recording, we absolutely loved the vibe and aesthetic, it was a perfect setting for our film. Overall, a super friendly and accommodating team. Would definitely recommend!

Such a well-equipped and vibey studio! Working with Silas at Old City has been a joy and we couldn't be happier the quality and character of the recordings. OCS is a unique creative space in the heart of the city and Silas brings a wealth of expertise and skill to the sessions. We are very grateful for the effort, care, and attention he has given to our tracks and are excited to work together further in future.

We cannot thank Old City Studios more, our whole experience so far has been effortless. Rhys has been wonderful in guiding us through the process, right down to arranging the weekend recording our first singles with Stos, who is the most fantastic engineer we have ever had the pleasure to work with. Had a great session at Old City Studio. The space has a real atmosphere to it – warm lighting, thoughtful design and a layout that feels inspiring rather than clinical. As a pianist, it was refreshing to work somewhere that feels intimate and characterful, but still practical and well set up. It’s also a brilliant space for capturing visual content without it feeling staged. Really welcoming and easy to deal with. I’ll definitely be back.
