Music Workshop Bath

These guys work in the same place as us here in Bath, Green Park Station and I feel they do invaluable work in our community. Their enthusiasm, understanding and love of what they do shines bright for all to see - absolutely and totally impressive, long may they continue...

Love this place so much. Bath is lucky to have this community full of supportive, creative, hard-working and talented staff. I've been having singing lessons with Kate for over five years. It's been an absolute joy to learn something entirely new as an adult, and the opportunity to perform in a safe and generous space is really special too. Thanks everyone at MUW. You are so appreciated.

Staff at the Music Workshop and Coffeehouse inside the Green Park Station are always super welcoming and friendly! Would really recommend a stop by for a good coffee!

I'm learning to play the mandolin with Dan, having had a (nearly) 40 year break from playing any instruments. He's a talented musician in his own right but has a great understanding of what it's like to be a beginner and guides with a balance of techniques, theory and encouragement. I'm progressing all the time, enjoy practicing at home and look forward to the lesson. I would recommend Dan without hesitation. Our 6 year old is learning to play the ukulele. She's made steady progress over the months she's been attending lessons and enjoys learning the different pieces of music. I really like how Dan accepts the rate of progress she makes and is able to gauge when to move her onto another level. He is completely unfazed by her 6 year old quirkiness and mixes fun and theory to get the best out of her. Again I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dan if you are thinking of music lessons for your child. 8 years on from this original post (having only just started lessons with Dan at Music Workshop)......my lessons now include electric guitar, singing and song writing with Evie.....most recently, I spent a year with Jam Lab and gained some more performance experience in the most fun supportive environment ......I would recommend it to anyone regardless of skill level/ambition. The tutors will help you find your instrument/vocal part to match where you are in your ability. I'm now in a covers band having just played our first paid gig! I've (co) written 2 songs with Dan and Evie and recorded them. Dan is still my teacher (and I don't see any end to the learning) and through his teaching and belief in me has been instrumental (no pun intended, well maybe a bit....) in my journey of finding out what makes me really happy, which is playing, singing and being in a band! Thank you Music Workshop for creating the most magical place in which everyone is allowed to grow and be seen 😍

THE best place for young people (and adults) to learn music and feel part of something really special. Music Workshop is a genuine community of lovely people who know their musical chops and are positively impacting young people and encouraging the joy of music in a non-pushy, inclusive way. My son has been having lessons and involved with Jam Lab for the past 2 years - the level of teaching and support that Kim and the team give is truly exceptional. My son spends most of his free time at Music Workshop in one way or another, and as a parent, I couldn't think of a better environment for him to be in. Thank you especially to Kim, Vince, Evie, Jules, Buddy, Alex and Dan.

The Music Workshop is a wonderful place and we are so lucky to have found it. My son has guitar lessons with Vince who is such an amazing teacher and he enjoys taking part in the Jam labs. Since joining my son has been given fabulous experiences giving him the confidence to perform. We are so grateful to Kim and all the teachers for creating such a remarkable musical community in Bath. My son is so fortunate to be a part of such a positive and nurturing environment, I would highly recommend the Music Workshop to anyone.

I was very impressed by the facilities at the Music Workshop. The teaching rooms were very pleasant and comfortable to work in. The cafe though small was friendly and the coffee good. I enjoyed a delicious Toastie for lunch.
