My name is Sa'ed Alhasheem, and as a film and TV composer with extensive experience in studios across the globe, I can honestly say that my recent recording session at Clockwork Sessions was in a league of its own. Housed within a beautiful, converted church, the studio's atmosphere is not just inspiring but also acoustically perfect. The space itself provides a natural warmth and clarity that is essential for orchestral recordings, allowing every nuance of the music to be captured with breathtaking fidelity. Paired with a comprehensive selection of top-tier gear, the studio truly has everything a professional could ask for. The technical excellence is matched only by the incredible people who work there. The conductor, Adam Robinson, was a true professional—so kind, patient, and collaborative. Working with him was an absolute pleasure, and his guidance was instrumental in bringing the film song to life. I also want to express my deepest gratitude to Kobus Frick, a "warrior" who was an invaluable partner in every step of the process. His dedication and passion made a world of difference. Finally, a huge thank you to the brilliant sound engineer, David Donaldson. His high-professional mix and mastering elevated the final track to a new level of polish and power. The entire Clockwork team is a testament to what makes a great studio: amazing people, an incredible space, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I can't recommend Clockwork Sessions highly enough to anyone looking for an exceptional recording experience.

Adam and Kobus are two immensely talented individuals and their whole team are trained to perfection. I had the pleasure to work with Clockwork Sessions and everything was seamless and fine tuned. They have taken a song penned in Italy during a relationship breakdown whilst on holiday in Sorrento and turned it into something that belongs in a movie. I could not recommend them highly enough and the venue where they record is exquisite and has an atmosphere that needs to be experienced to be appreciated. These guys are pros. They found solutions to make what could have been a very tricky session extremely slick and delivered world class results. They have beautiful sounding live room comparable to all I’ve used in London and a brand new well thought out control room. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Great modern studio

Simply wonderful! The Clockwork team have time and again produced beautiful results for myself and my clients. The standard of musicianship, leadership and sound capture is second to none. Highly recommended.

The team at Clockwork Sessions went above and beyond in ensuring we captured the range of content to the quality needed for a AAA sample library for a user base as broad as Komplete and we can wholeheartedly recommend them for any recording project.

I had an incredible session with Clockwork Sessions and the wonderful SSO next month. Clockwork Sessions was meticulous and responsible in the preliminary preparations, providing me with a lot of advice and help to avoid pitfalls. During the session, Adams and Kobus were diligent, and the orchestra members were exceptionally skilled, delivering an astounding performance. In the post-production stage, David created a rough mix and quick balance for me, making my music stand out. This session was exceptionally valuable, and it makes me eager to start new collaborations with them soon.

Everything from score prep right through to the mix was handled brilliantly and communicatively by the incredibly skilled, experienced and welcoming dream team of Kobus, Adam and David and it was clear straight away my score was in excellent hands. The players of the Scottish Session Orchestra are outstanding, the room has a beautiful sound and the sense of community and shared experience about this place is really something special. It was an absolute joy to work with Adam, Kobus, David, and the rest of the team at Clockwork Sessions! Adam was super helpful at engraving the scores, getting it ready for the day as well as conducting the fantastic Scottish Session Orchestra. Kobus was meticulous with detail, and made it absolutely sure that all my pieces were recorded just as I needed them. And I was so happy with the results from David's mixing; I genuinely could not believe this was my music! The musicians in the Scottish Session Orchestra blew me away - the speed, clarity, precision, not to mention the understanding of the flavour of the music they are recording! The Shared Sessions are worth every penny - the team here have developed an incredible infrastructure that is set in place in order to go from a musical idea/demo to a finished high-end recording, saving you from the colossal organisational effort to put a session together yourself. I will most definitely be returning, and hopefully soon! A real highlight of my musical career so far!
